The Burndy PAT46-18V crimping tool is a battery actuated hydraulic crimper that produces 12 tons (10.9 metric tons) of force and is suitable for crimping a range of copper and aluminum terminals, splices, and taps. It has a C-head crimp mechanism capable of 360-degree head rotation to accommodate asymmetrical connectors and for improved access to tight work spaces, and features an audible "pop" when the crimping cycle is complete. It comes with a high-impact plastic carrying case to hold the tool, a battery charger, two 18V nickel–metal hydride (NiMH) batteries, a retention lanyard, and die sets.
